Yardlight

Terms of Service

Yardlight, a product of MASONBYTE LLC · Accokeek, Maryland
Posted 29 August 2026 — under review.

Under review and subject to change by MASONBYTE LLC. These terms are posted and describe how this site and its demo are offered today. They are still being reviewed, and they may be revised — including the clauses named as absent under Legal below.

What this is

Yardlight is an AI help widget built by MASONBYTE LLC. It is embedded inside an application and answers questions about that application — how it works, where a setting lives, what a screen means. This site, yardlight.app, describes the product and hosts a working demo of it.

These terms cover your use of this website and its demo. If you met Yardlight inside somebody else's product, your agreement is with the company running that product, and their terms apply to your use of it.

No account, nothing to pay

There is no sign-up, no account, and nothing for sale on this site. You can read it and try the demo without giving us anything.

What the answers are, and are not

Yardlight's answers are generated by a language model. That means:

Using the demo fairly

The demo exists so you can see the product work. Please do not:

We may rate-limit, suspend, or withdraw access to the demo if it is being misused.

What you type

You keep whatever you type. We claim no ownership of your questions, and we do not store them, use them to train anything, or sell them. How a question travels — and the fact that it reaches a model provider to be answered — is set out in the Privacy Policy. Please do not type passwords, payment details, or anything confidential into a help box.

Our material

Yardlight, its name and mark, this site, and its documentation belong to MASONBYTE LLC. Nothing here grants you a licence to the Yardlight software; embedding Yardlight in a product is arranged separately.

Availability

This site and its demo are provided as they are. We do not promise they will always be available or error-free, and we may change, disable, or withdraw features at any time. The demo in particular is a demonstration: it ships inert and may be switched off or running without a model behind it, by design.

Not covered by these terms. Warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law and venue, and dispute resolution are not part of this document. They are the clauses whose exact wording decides whether they hold, and wording them takes a lawyer rather than an engineer — so rather than copy them from another product and hope, we have left them out and said so.

What that means in practice: where these terms are silent, the ordinary default position applies. MASONBYTE LLC is a Maryland company. If and when those clauses are drafted, they will appear here with a new effective date, and this note will say so instead.
